R I P P E D
RIPPED is the first memoir focused on the dual obsession of extreme muscularity and food, through the lens of one person’s struggle and redemption.
RIPPED is packed with comical and harrowing memories from Justin's childhood growing up with his competitive bodybuilding father and food-addicted mother. As a child of the 1980s, Justin was raised on cultural images and pressures to be "ripped": Hulkamania wresting, superhero comic books, and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies that led to young adult years spent overexercising, binge eating, and obsessing about his body.
RIPPED is a deep and salient call to action for anyone suffering from the pressure to gain muscle, work out, and be someone you're not--from someone who knows far too well.
